Located in the scenic landscape of Richmond, Massachusetts, JMASH Cider at Hilltop Orchards offers a farm-to-glass experience with their fresh apple cider. They needed custom cider tap handles to complement their rustic barn taproom. Their taproom, located on the orchard grounds, exudes a rustic charm, inviting visitors to sample the fruits of Hilltop’s harvest. To complement the authenticity and spirit of JMASH, Sara envisioned a distinctive custom tap handle that would celebrate the orchard’s unique character while giving guests a memorable experience.
For their custom design, the Knockout Designs team wanted to highlight JMASH’s cider-making process with use of the apples and barrels. Each tap handle features a short, painted wooden shaft for a natural feel. At the top of the shaft, a carefully crafted 3D-printed apple with a playful bite taken out hints at the fresh, juicy quality of their cider. This apple rests atop a 3D-printed barrel, reminiscent of those used to store and age their creations, grounding the design in the cider-making tradition.
The “JMASH” logo, crafted in bold 3D-printed plastic, white letters not only reinforces the brand but adds a modern touch, creating an inviting balance between traditional and contemporary. Together, the three elements; the apple, barrel, and name, tell a story of craftsmanship and pride of JMASH Cider. Knockout Designs specializes in small orders but we are more than happy to fill large orders for distribution! Our custom work allows brewers to create personalized designs with no minimum orders. These custom designed tap handles are as much a part of the experience as the cider itself. Crafted to stand out without overpowering, they are the perfect touch to the orchard’s cozy taproom, where visitors can enjoy JMASH Cider straight from Hilltop’s heart. Knockout Designs had a fantastic experience collaborating with JMASH Cider at Hilltop Orchards on creating their custom tap handles that bring their vision to life in a way that truly represents the orchard’s spirit and passion for cider-making.
