A Tap Handle for Cooper Landing Brewing Company in Alaska
(3D printing, woodworking and laser engraving all in one tap handle)
Cooper Landing Brewery Company in Cooper Landing Alaska needed a beer tap handle for their new tap room. The brewery presented Knockout Knobs with the challenge of creating a tap handle with the CLBC logo (a fish holding a glass of beer) and a place on the tap handle to let the customers know which type of Cooper Landing Beer was on tap. We worked with Nelz, the brewer to design and print a great tap handle. We printed the fish logo in black metal. We printed the plastic insert with CLBC in orange. Metal 3D printing (aka additive manufacturing) was the perfect medium for the details on the fish logo. The small orange glass of beer adds just the right amount of color to this tap handle.
This project uses a variety of manufacturing methods (3D printing, woodworking and laser engraving) The final tap handle is a great addition to Cooper Landing Brewing Companies new tap room. Not only does this tap handle look great but it has a great feel with a variety of textures.
