Knockout Designs was honored to be asked by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to create a tap handle as a farewell gift. We were thrilled to craft a Pentagon tap handle for our military with its unique design challenges. The tap handle needed to include the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s coin and pin, as well as an Army Ranger flag and the official flag for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Fortunately, our fabricator and woodworker, a Navy Veteran, likes a design challenge and generated a rendering which included all the design elements requested by the Pentagon. He fabricated a wooden tap handle with space to incorporate a spinning two sided coin as well as a wooden pentagon to hold the Chairman’s pin. The base of the tap handle included the army ranger and Joint Chiefs of staff flags. We were happy to learn the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff liked this one of a kind tap handle gift. We thank the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as all the men and women in the military for their many years of service to our country.
Although this was our first tap handle for the Pentagon, Knockout Designs works with veteran owned craft breweries to incorporate their military service with their civilian brewery ventures. Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force veterans often bring home great brewery concepts when they return from their military service. Local veteran owned craft breweries are great gathering places for military veterans with their families and friends.
